I think the Red Sox are finally going to win a world series, they won the first game last night 11-9. Some of my friends got together and played poker. I cleaned everyone out, but I can't say how much...if I do, kharma is going to kick my ass next time. Schools dragging on for my senior year, i'm going to have to pull an all-nighter to study for my chemistry test. I'm almost done w/ Paradise Lost, its a great book. I'm about to start on something by Steinbeck. If anyone reads him what do you think is a better read East of Eden or The Pearl? I kind of want to get away with anything biblical after reading Paradise Lost, I have no clue what The Pearl is about, so yes... Have to cut off my hawk today for senior pictures, makes me kind of sad. One week to halloween :)

I had an anxiety attack today it sucked. All of my school work/band/friend stuff caught up with me and I kinda went dizzy and got really sick...I'm not usually stressed but it all just caught up with me at one time. It was like -woah- Quiz Bowl started today and the diversity alliance starts a week from today. I was thinking of dropping a class but there isn't one I would want to drop. Then I saw some emo girl crying and I felt better.

I'm just messin around with this new internet browser called Fire Fox. It rocks compared to IE. It has hundreds of extensions to look through and customize your browser. It even has this LJ post-deally. Its got some other fun stuff like mouse gestures. But I guess I'm just a geek. I went to the skatepark with my rapper friend. There was about 50 kids there so no one could do anything. Theres absolutely no restrictions at it. I can't wait until someone sues the city for no supervision. I have to work on English. Hooray...

Hmm. Last night I took Michael (powerpuffpunk) to see Without a paddle. We sat around waiting and a bunch of people from our shit-hole of a punk-scene in our pos-town came and bothered us. These freshman, whose names I don't know, came and hugged me. Apparently they're really good friends with Mike's and My friend Chris, and hes probably molesting them. Crazy freshmen. Anyway, Without a paddle was ok, too predictable, not very funny. I woke up this morning to find that our bassist can't play with us because of her grandparents...so we're lookin for a new bassist again. Mike took me to see Sky Captain and the world of tommorrow, was a very sweet movie. I've started workin on Mikes warlock, have to do some shit with the input and the tone controls... My friend from class (Steve_ and I went out to dinner at Hooters, I bitched about my meal and got it for free. Free shit! Yeah! We went to Best Buy so my friend Steve could get some video games. This little girl was running at us and i turn at her, make a face, and in my best zombie voice yell BRAINS! She whimpered and ran behind her mom's legs who glared at me. *claps* BRAINS!

I'm currently on the lookout for a place to throw a Devil's Night horror punk bash! It might just be a house party, oh well. I have a few friends that I might ask to throw one if we can't find a cool place to rent out for cheap. If I couldn't find enough punk bands, I was going to ask our old guitarist's band Red Lipstick Death, but their guitarist just quit. I feel kinda bad for him, his bands keep shitting out on him. Steve and Luke are like Mike and I, they keep on truckin' through all the bullshit. Oh well, we're prettier than they are. Thats all that matters.

I haven't done much interesting in the past week, hence my lack of posting. Michael came home from college for the weekend. We had some band practice and are finally going back and perfecting our songs. My good rapper ghetto thug friend Marc asked me to come "lay down sum guitar trackz". I'm going to see how well the quality of recording is. His hip hop stuff sounded pretty good quality, but that aint do death rawk!
Mike and I saw hero and MAN did that kick ass. In a little over 15 days Shaun of the Dead will come out...ZOMBIES! School sucks but i've been keeping up with work this year. Most of the ugly Anti-Flag punk kids that I hate dropped out. That gives me a little hope for the future of humanity...

Summers dying down

I am at that point of the summer where I can't wait for school to start. I miss being a dick to all the slipknot kids, my "friends" and even the classes. I got my schedule in the mail but it wasn't finished. I'm going to have to head up to the school to figure out whats going on. The office told me to come up tuesday at nine *groan*

I went with a couple friends as they picked up applications near their campus today. We ended up shopping a little bit. I found an old Bauhaus, Siouxsie and Bowie shirt. Each was $24 and was in crappy used condition. Kinda made me mad that the lady wouldn't bargain with me...

I went up to the store to get some cereal and this dudes car died. He came up being a total asshole to me demanding that I jump him. My dad made me go through and do it, I was going to drive off...Whats up with all of you nice people? Mike powerpuffpunk is so nice sometimes it makes me sick. Damn you and your good will toward humanity!

We tried out our new drummer yesterday and went pretty well...untill we were wrapping things up. I turned off the light as we were heading outa nd it was pitch black. Things go silent for a minute as we stumble out. Out of no where is an "ARGH!" and Mike grabs my leg. I try to go forward then fall over the floor moni. I grab some clothes hanging on a rack to catch myself, they fly off the hangers and I fall faceforward into a pole smashing my left side of my forehead, then i fall back into the drumms cutting my back, arms, legs, hands and effectively smashing my head onto the bass drum. Then mike started laughing at me, argh!

Today I had a major headache, sat around playing MOHAA and watched Dances With Wolves. I forgot how long that movie was...crazy...Anyway we're not recording today because we're not satisfied with our songs and Mike had college things to do anyway. I got my transcript today I'm going to be half a credit from graduating on time, kind of funny. I can probably make it up...I hope. Going to school for one class a day for a quarter of the school year seems like overkill haha.

Today around six or so Michael, Sam, and I headed out to The Magic Stick (if thats right) in Detroit, Mi to see The Dresden Dolls. I didn't know what to expect. They were only a two piece with demanding instruments; keys and drums. I was amazed at how awesome they were live. They had awesome performance, did awesome musically. Mike told me the only band that has had a better live show was Bella Morte, which I believe. Lets see if the brides next week can top it...thats if I can get in. Its 18+, and I am still a whiney 17 year old. Were going to see if Delilah from Dangerville can get me in, or if not then maybe corey. (Dana help me!) Anyway we talked to their drummer Brian, he is a great guy. Mike and I gave some shameless plugs to Malice In Leatherland. Then after a nice long drive home I talked to Amanda for a little bit. I finally asked her out on a date. So yeah, rock the fuck on Live Journal, rock the fuck on.

I had to get my teeth cleaned today, all the scraping and the scratching and talking to the old lady when shes shoving needles into my gums, its enough to drive a kid crazy. Other than that I finished up the miini series Dune based off Frank Herberts novel. I've never read it, I have always planned to but I never get around to doing it. Is it any good?

Today was a fairly fulfilling day. Phill and I played three games of our card game in four hours...strategizing for four hours killed my head. I couldn't focus on anything after I got out of my playing zone, so I sat around listening to some mellow music all day.

powerpuffpunkand I worked up some image designs for Spit Grin buttons and stickers. newlyrisendead and I are working out recording crap. It sucks having a long-distant guitarist...Atleast our music doesn't suck like older stuff did...the website is almost done although powerpuffpunk hasn't secured the URL or finished bios or much else. So its not almost done, its just barely started...

I wasn't feeling too good this morning, so I sat around today and read all morning. Picked up my lord of the rings trilogy and killed off half of the first book, kinda wish I had some newer material around...At about three I went to see the village, I already lost hopes that it would be any good. It was kind of slow, but I really enjoyed it. The plot was very obvious, It was hardly scary. It was a very good story brought down in a bad movie. I found a "The Lottery" vibe to it, but overall it was decent. I watched the anime Perfect Blue with a friend a couple hours later, forgot how totally fucked up that movie is...I rode my bike around merilly under the star-lit skies, going downhill all the way home was fun as hell. Now i'm mellowing out to some of the beatles, life is good, yeah!

Well for those of you that care, the bands going great. We have picked up a new name: Spit Grin. Our songs are nearing completion and were trying to set some time for Brad to come up here and record in the fall...if not Mike and I are going to record some sample tracks on our own for the website. Our set list is coming together nicely. Now we have Gun Boy, Donna of the Dead, Spooks, The Man Who Wasn't There, Trail of Blood, and three unnamed songs one from Brad, one from Mike, and one from me. Charlie didn't work out, he was kind of a douche bag, so my friend Gabe is going to fill in for recording drums, maybe even live if no one else is around. I guess it was worth the trade off...lost a live guitarist for good music. We can't play locally right now, but atleast our music doesn't sound awful...
